Named for the explorer, Samuel de Champlain, who sailed from Normandy to the northern parts of the new world, in particular New France (now Quebec). He was the first European to chart the long lake that separates Vermont from New York, the eponymous Lake Champlain.
Le Champlain is the newest addition, opened for the 70th (not 40th) anniversary of the D-Day Landings in 2014. You’ll find the beds made and the cider chilling in the fridge.
